A Successful Donation to the Cancer Diseases Hospital

Through the continued support of our partners, yesterday, the Zambian Cancer Society proudly made a meaningful donation to the Surgical Department at the Cancer Diseases Hospital (CDH)—a powerful conclusion to our Dukutober Breast Cancer Awareness efforts.

This donation, valued at K70,000, was made possible through the generosity and commitment of our partners, notably the Lusaka Gymkhana Club. Your support reminds us that community champions make advocacy stronger. Thank you for standing with us!

We were deeply encouraged by the words of Dr. Mwala, Senior Surgeon at CDH, who shared:

“The items you have donated to CDH will go a long way in trying to alleviate the problems that cancer patients undergo through the process of treatment and recovery.”

We also appreciate Julie, representing Lusaka Gymkhana Club, who said:

“ The Lusaka Gymkhana Club is honoured to contribute even in a small way, because each one of us has been touched by cancer in one way or another.”

This donation is more than just equipment—it is hope, dignity, and support for patients and healthcare workers.

Items donated icluded:

– Closed wound suction drains sets

-Adhesive foam electrodes for ECG

-Skin staples

-Primesafe instrument disnfectant OPA

-NZYMed 100 Dosing Pump

As we continue working toward our long-term dream, the Tisamala Wellness Center, we are encouraged by the strength of our partners and the commitment of our community. Step by step, together, we are making this vision a reality.
