75th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa – Building a Healthier Africa, Together

The Zambian Cancer Society (ZCS) had the privilege of attending the official launch of the 75th Session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for Africa, held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, Zambia.

This high‑level gathering brought together Health Ministers, Heads of Delegation, partners, and stakeholders from across the continent to deliberate on strengthening health systems and accelerating progress towards universal health coverage.

Building a Healthier Africa, Together

The theme of the session, “Building a Healthier Africa, Together,” reflects the collective commitment to advancing health equity, improving access to care, and ensuring that no community is left behind.

For ZCS, participation in this forum was an opportunity to align cancer awareness and survivorship advocacy with broader continental strategies for health system strengthening.
