Dreams Do Come TRUE!

About 2 years ago my friend, Ellen Banda-Aaku and I began musing over the idea of creating a radio drama on cancer. We had worked on several cancer projects before so were treading on “familiar” ground. Unbeknown to us, what we thought was merely a dream began to take root in this amazing universe where powerful thoughts do become things! Then the dream sprouted! In 2019, the Zambian Cancer Society won a highly competitive international UICC SPARC grant, together with 10 other grantees for different projects worldwide.

This Saturday 4 July 2020,  TISAMALA – Zambia’s FIRST radio drama on breast cancer premieres on Radio Christian Voice. I would like to pay special tribute to: The UICC, Pfizer Oncology, Ellen Banda-Aaku writer and director, Dr. Dorothy Lombe our technical advisor, cast and crew: Malumba Malumba, Gift Muneka, Christine Ngoma, Frank Ntewewe, Bridget Malumba, Caroline Tina Phiri, Mwansa Mwanakaoma, Blessings Bwalya, Queen Chimimba, Idah Phiri, Hamalala Hamalala, Lottie Tondolo Siame, Nicholas Mubanga and Louis Yuyi.
